Hell was our first album. Dumbass had existed for a couple of years already by the time
we got down to recording it. Our style had shifted from noise experiments, through
punk-influenced rock to the experimental noise rock that we finally settled on for Hell.
This album is still a personal favourite of mine. You can hear the energy and enthusiasm
that only a teenager can produce. The album is naive and loud, angry and condemning,
noisy and expressive. Recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder, the audio quality is not
top-notch, but that really isn’t important for songs like these.
