Their sound moves from the harsh din of so-called "industrial music" to flirtations with jazz, rock, electronica and even folk, from pure noise to surreal soundscapes. THE DUMBASS SAMPLER This sampler brings together ten evocative tracks from the past six years (including seven fan-favorites and three unreleased songs from the upcomming album: Modernity). From the heavy industrial rock of Cash and Falling Up is Easier, to the experimental noise-scape of Random Action #2 and the organic, guitar driven social commentary of Sex is a Commodity, this sampler hits the high points and provides a taste of what the Dumbass catalogue has to offer. The sampler is also available as a free MP3 download from the Dumbass homepage at dumbass.trashrecords.org along with many more individual songs and complete albums, as well as videos, images, and information. Part of our operating philosophy is a belief that the spread of art should be free, therefore, we provide. TRASH RECORDS Dumbass is a proud part of the Trash Records art collective. We believe in the promotion of interesting independent art in all media. Trash Records is an artist-run, non-profit art collective based in Vancouver Canada but with contributors from all over the world.
